The State Parliament of Baden-Württemberg

Stuttgart

The State Parliament in Stuttgart was constructed from 1958 to 1961 according to the plans of Kurt Viertel. The Parliament building with its uncompromising modern design stands in striking contrast to the historic structures in the immediate vicinity.

The building, a listed historic preservation site, underwent three years of general refurbishment under the direction of Staab Architects. The original structure was complemented with select design elements.

The entire building now offers a modern working environment. In close cooperation with the architects, conference rooms and debating halls were designed to accommodate state-of-the-art media technology. Conference rooms were furnished with our visually lightweight Star product line. Prestigious Talk conference tables, which offer quick, tool-free versatility to meet changing needs, are the place to meet and discuss. The end result: Building and furnishings create a harmonious whole.
